143 kph/88.85 mph, 50%-60% of throttle

Again, I'm still continuing the test. Today I got 143 kph on my radar gun with a little bit over 50% to 60% of throttle. I tried to push the car more but I couldn't. I had 3 runs, and in the last run the car was flipped twice, and the receiver battery went off. So I didn't continue the test. Next time I will try to push it more.

134 kph/83.26 mph, 50% of throttle

I have changed the system to Neu 1509/2Y and CC-HV with 10s Lipo. The car is geared to 2.75:1. I went to test it, and I got 134 on the radar gun with 50% of the throttle. The weather was windy. I hope I can push it to100% of throttle before I travel :)

Below are the video of my test and some pictures of the car.

Some pics of my friends cars

Today, me and friends we meet in some place, just for fun and not for speed run.
Below are the pictures of our cars. The yellow Corvette is my Tamiya TA-05, and the red one is my TC4.

151 kph / 93.82 mph with Tamiya TA-05

Finally got something makes me happy, and satisfied. I went to run my car, and I got 151kph/93.82mph on my radar. The weather was wet, and the street is very good, and clean, but sloppy (this is one of the reason explains why my car's speed is 93 and not more).

My car is Tamiya TA-05 4WD belt drive with the following setup:
ESC: Mamba Max
Motor: Mamba CMS-7700
Battery: Flight Power 4s lipo
Servo: Futaba S3050
Internal gear ratio: 2:1
Spur gear: 75T
Pinion gear: 30T
Total gear ratio: 5:1
Body: HPI Corvette (modified, wings are added)

Now it's Neu turn to break 200kph :)

134 kph/83.26 mph with Tamiya TA-05

Today I went to test my car at 5pm. The radar was reading correctly, and I got 134kph. After a while, the radar gun gave me wrong readings because the batteries are dissipated.

This test was unsuccessful because of the wrong reading. The first 2 runs, which are in the video below, are successful reading. The speed of 2 cars which passed the radar was approximately 110khp and below.

I have just replaced the batteries of the radar, and I'm going to re-run the car again with mamba max.

The video and the picture are below. The weather in this run was very wet (In Kuwait), and the temperature was approximately betwen 38 to 42 celsius.

148 kph / 91.96 mph with Tamiya TA-05

I just came from testing my car, it was 6:15am. The place which I ran my car is a new spot. I think I will stick with this spot until I find another good spot. The length of the road was approximately 2km to 3km, but there were a lot of big cars (6 wheels) that their speed was between 60 to 80kph, and I can't take my rest there. Once I found another spot I will run my car there.

The car was running very fast, it was 148kph. Below is the picture of my run. I'm so sorry because I don't have any video,I regret for that , for this test since my phone came is a cybershot and its video quality is very low. In addition to that, my phone camera (video only) is not working, once I push record it stops recording immediately because of the software damage. Anyway it is an old phone. Next time I will try to borrow my brother's camera.

118 kph/73.32 mph with Tamiya TA-05

I just came from testing my car, I have reached 118 kph/73.32 mph. It is still not full of throttle, again same reason as previous test. Below are the video and the picture of the speed.

Sorry for the low quality of the video. I was using my phone camera 3.2mp.

115 kph/71.45 mph with Tamiya TA-05

Today I have tested my car again, and I got 115 kph/71.45 mph in the last run using Mamba Max 7700 with 4 cells, and the gear ratio is 5.175. The parking lot was not long enough, and it is approximately 170 meters. I still didn't give it the full throttle, and I feel that car can do more than that it does.

I will try to find another spot next time. Here are the video and a picture of my run and radar.

112 kph/69.59 mph with Tamiya TA-05

I went to test my car with my friend last week, and I had several runs.
Before the last run I got 105 kph, and I got 112 kph for the last run.

By using google calculator I got: 112 kph = 69.5935735 mph

After passing the radar I continued to push my car more, and I got 77 mph with the venom speed meter which is installed in the car.

Note that the energy of the battery in the last two runs was almost fully dissipated. I tried to discharge it completely but i was unable to discharge it since the battery has low energy and its voltage was 12 and something. So I fully charged the battery, and I got 16.8v. I hope next time I run it with a fully charged battery.

The total gear ratio was 6.21, and I'm going to reduce it to 5.175.

below are the video and pictures of my test:

The theoretical speed of Tamiya & XRay

Below you find the estimated theoretical speed, all calculations are done by using this website: http://www.easy-rc.com/cgi-bin/gearratios.cgi

Wheel diameter (mm): 60 (I used 60 as a worst case and not 62, 63, or 64)
Motor max speed (RPM): 35000 (I put this number as a worst case, the actual number is 12S * 3.7 * 1360rpm = 60384)

Tamiya TB Evo 5 results:
Final gear ratio: 1.5:1
Its roll-out is: 125 mm/revolution (4 inches/revolution)
Its maximum speed is: 263 km/hour (163 miles/hours)

XRay T2'008 results:
Final gear ratio: 0.68 (Pinion 150T)
Its roll-out is: 277 mm/revolution (10 inches/revolution)
Its maximum speed is: 582 km/hour (361 miles/hours)
LOL IT IS REALLY GONA FLY!!

Final gear ratio: 0.85 (Pinion 120T)
Its roll-out is: 221 mm/revolution (8 inches/revolution)
Its maximum speed is: 465 km/hour (289 miles/hours)

Final gear ratio: 1.02 (Pinion 100T)
Its roll-out is: 184 mm/revolution (7 inches/revolution)
Its maximum speed is: 388 km/hour (241 miles/hours)

I will measure the actual speed when I have a chance to run them after testing them (I know that it will take some time to reach the goal).

Old test video for my custom works 2WD

This is an old video shows my test for the custom works 2wd, I still didn't push the trigger to 100%, because I have faced some issues with the gear. So I was just testing the car.

This video was recorded in Kuwait at 6am.

Sorry for the bad video quality because I'm using my mobile camera (3.2 mpx)

Modified XRay T2'008 Prototype

This is my modified XRay T2'008 US edistion 1/10 scale prototype.
The equipment that will be installed on this car are same as
that are in my Tamiya except that the gears ratio are differ.

The only thing modified is the motor mount. Actually I created a
new motor mount from scratch.

Here are the specification of this car:

Motor: Neumotor 1515/3D
Batteries: Thunderpower 3S+3S+6S = 12S
ESC: CC HV110
Internal gear ratio: 1.7
Final gear ratio: 1.7 * (60/150) = 0.68
OR
Final gear ratio: 1.7 * (60/120) = 0.85
since the the gear with 150T may hit the body (I may cut the body from the top).

The only thing modified is the motor mount.

New car

This is my last 1/10 scale car, and I have a feeling that tells me this car will be going the fastest one (it will run at least 150+ mph, and it may reach 200+ mph). I'm not going to tell what equipment will be installed, but after finishing from it, and measuring its speed I will let you know what kind of equipments are installed.

You may know the car from the picture. I have done only 1 modification, I created a new motor mount and I installed it.

Below are the picture of my Tamiya & new car.

XRay 1/18 Pro Micro

I bought it because it is small, and I like small things LOL. But it is really fast, I still didn't run it and also I didn't measure its speed. The big car is my Tamiya 1/10 and it is still not completed because I'm busy with my study.
