Currently I'm trying to modify the chassis so that there will be a place for the batteries.
Also I'm working on modifying the motor mount, I'm waiting the CAD file to be designed.
Once the CAD is finished, I will go to some machinist to cut the new modified motor mount for me.
Once I finish from the motor mount, later I will publish about it in details. If there is any helper, I will list him/her/them in the blog.

Going abroad & another car on the way
Hello,
My RC car is finished, and I'm looking for long road to test my car with full speed. But I will stop working on my RC car right now since I'm going abroad and I can't bring all kits, tools, ... etc with me.
Now I'm thinking to build another car, and the old one will remain in my home so that once I get back I will work on it. The first car is finished, and as I said its theoritical speed is 160+ mph and the practical one is ??? unknown. The second car which I will build will be with me while I'm abroad, and maybe I will publish its information later.

Venom is burned since it cannot hold 9999+ mph :P
I was testing my car, and my venom speed meter is burned since it is 4 digits, and my car was over 9999+ mph (just kidding :P).
Seriously, It is burned because the sensor had broken, and the mechanical power produces electrical power, and then from electrical power a heat power produced then it burned.
I broke the tail of the sensor so that I can place it closed to the wheel, but the head of the sensor has been broken and it is the cause of the burning.
I was going very very fast, I wish that I saw the meter before it's burned. I'm going to replace it and test the car again before I travel.
Here are some pictures. The burned venom, and the broken sensor.

98mph with 45%-60% of throttle on suface
I have tested my car today at 5am, I got 98mph with 45% to 60% of throttle on surface, and suddenly it flew LOL. "Thanks God it did not crash" :).
The car flew because I pushed on the trigger quickly to speed up the car since the road is not long enough to run the car with full speed. I should push on the trigger slowly so that the car will not fly.
Still I did not test my car with full speed neither on surface or air.
Here are some pictures that shows the speed meter with 98mph:

2 Tests: 117mph & 195mph on air
Today I was testing my car on air, half of it was on the table, and the second half of my car was on air (The drive wheel). I didn't find a clean and long road to test my car, but once day I will find it and I will test my car on surface.
I went through 2 tests, and here is my description for both of them:
the first test was 117mph with 30%-40% of throttle, I was afraid while I'm holding the car ad it is running, and then I stopped the car because I lost a screw that I didn't tight it very well. I tight all parts that are not tight very well.
The second test was 195mph, and the throttle was between 50%-60%. Unfortunately, I lost the magnet of the speed meter (Thanks God it didn't go to my eyes). Once it went to 195mph then the meter quickly went to 0000mph LOL, the magnet which I place it on the gear is gone.
I was afraid while I'm holding the car by my hand since it is running 200+mph and it is shaking my hand.
My testing was on air, and not on surface, and since I got 195mph with throttle was between 50% to 60%, I'm sure it will be more than 250mph on air with full of throttle.
On the surface It will be at least 160mph since there are a lot of factors can affect speed.
I have recorded the car with my phone camera, and I was confused once I got 195mph because I'm holding a car while it is running very fast and then I stopped the camera and I closed the receiver, and receiver shuts down the speed meter. unfortunately I didn't take a picture of the fastest speed.
Here are some videos (I hope they are clear):

My RC Car
Hello,
I have read news about the fastest RC car in world, and now I'm following the news about fastest RC car on Nic's site fastestrc.blogspot.com.
I have encouraged to build my own RC car and make it as fast as I can according to my background. I'm still reading about everything related to RC car and how to make it as fast as possible.
I have learned a lot about motor, and what factors that can make the car run fast.
My car specifications are:
Chassis: Custom Works Slider Kit.
Drive: 2W Front Drive
Radio: Futaba 3PK
Servo: Futaba S3305 (Maybe it will be changed to a digital servo)
Motor: NeuMotor 1509/2y
ESC: CC HV-85
Gear ratio: 1.5:1 (it will bechanged to 1:1 or lower if it is possible)
Tire: BSR Purple/Jaco Purple (Currently they are under the testing)
Batteries: 8s lipo
Note:
Total Motor RPM: 1820 (per volt)x 29.6 (8s lipo) = 53872
Tire diameter: 58-60 mm
I'm taking the worst case senario with consideration of factors (weather, air, wind, surface ... etc) that may affect the speed:
Total Motor RPM: 35000
Tire Diameter: 58mm
Gear ratio: 1.5:1
The speed has been calculated according to these sites:
http://www.easy-rc.com/cgi-bin/gearratios.cgi
http://www.teamassociated.com/racerhub/techhelp/marc/JavaMath.html
Theaoritical Speed: 160+ mph
Practical Speed: ??
I took this car from the shelf, and nothing is hand made. All parts are on the shelf without any hand made.Except that I cut a small piece from car so that the motor can fit very well in its place.
Best regards,
vega
